Mark Coffin - Owner
With over 11 years in the aviation industry and over 5000 hours flying Mark has had an opportunity to experience many different aspects of aviation, including maintenance, flight training, IFR charter work as well as extensive seaplane operations. Previous to starting Tradewinds Flight Centre, Mark flew cargo in Transport catagory airplanes throughout the United States from southern Ontario. After his time flying cargo he moved to Prince Edward Island to start a seaplane charter operation as well as an Approved Maintenance Organization in 2002, known as Tartan Air. Tartan Air has been very successful and operates at full capacity during the summer months. Mark opened Tradewinds Flight Centre in 2004 and with the CFI Dave Dunphy's help they have grown the company from one aircraft to four in the past year with an eye on continue expansion.
Mark's main concern is for the experience and education that the students at Tradewinds Flight Centre receive and as to whether or not they are happy with the over all experience. Mark believes that in flight training students are not merely students but are clients first and foremost need to be pleased with the value they are receiving.
