Tradewinds Flight Centre is located in Charlottetown, the provincial capital of Prince Edward Island on Canada's east coast. Tradewinds office and training facility are located at the Charlotttetown Airport.
The Charlottetown airport is a full service airport with two large runways and light traffic volume. The light volume of traffic ensures that your time is spent flying and not waiting in line on the ground to take off. Due to the nature of the area our practices areas are directly attached to the small control zone allowing for immediate entry into exercises and lessons (no wasted transit times) The airport is served by both of Canada's major air carriers (Air Canada and West Jet) which allows for a variety of traffic creating a good learning environment. In addition Charlottetown has a full compliment of instrument approaches. These approaches combined with the light traffic make Charlottetown the ideal location to complete your Multi-Engine or single engine IFR. We are also located close to Halifax, Nova Scotia and Moncton, New Brunswick which allow our students to experience larger and busier airports in their intitial training and their advanced training.
